Dr Jessica Swiestowska
Clinical Director
MA VetMB CertAVP MRCVSJessica graduated from Cambridge Vet School in 2011, and after a short spell in mixed practice realised farm animal medicine was her passion and signed up to the Westpoint internship, progressing to set up the Daventry branch in 2014.
She is passionate about working with all livestock, especially surgery. Outside work she enjoys spending time with family, training for endurance challenges, travelling and baking. -
Dr Alexandra Rose
Clinical Director
BVSc MRCVSAlex graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2012 and after a brief spell in mixed practice started working exclusively with large animals in 2013, initially in Shropshire, then for Westpoint Daventry, and now as one of the Clinical Directors of Cross Counties Farm Vets and Broughton Veterinary Group.
She is particularly interested in disease control, health planning and reproduction, spending a lot of her time on farm doing dairy fertility work. Alex also really enjoys attending out of hours calvings, lambings and prolapses. Out of work she enjoys gardening, DIY, walking and spending time with friends and family. -
Mel Julian
Senior Veterinary Surgeon
BVetMed CertAVP (Cattle) MRCVSGrowing up on a beef and sheep farm, working with animals was always on the cards for Mel, who graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2014. After two years in mixed practice and a year of travelling, she joined Broughton Vets and began to specialise in farm practice.
Out of work she enjoys exploring the countryside with naughty border terrier Twiglet, watching rugby, playing netball and baking. -
Dr Alba Moran
Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S MRCVSAlba graduated from the University of Cardenal Herrera in Valencia in 2012 and moved to the UK to work in farm medicine – and has been here ever since!
She has worked around the country, as well as in a wildlife sanctuary in Malawi, studying baboons in Kasungu National Park. Outside work she enjoys travelling, yoga, walking Freddie her dog, and spending time with family and friends. -
Dr Georgina Rigby
Veterinary Surgeon
BVSc MRCVSGina graduated in 2018, and worked at a farm practice in Worcestershire before joining us in 2020. She has a small flock of sheep at home, sits on the committee for the Sheep Veterinary Society and runs the Cross Counties Flock Club. She is also a Milksure registered vet. Her other clinical passions include surgery and health planning.

Dr Sophie Offer
Veterinary Surgeon
BVetMed MRCVSSophie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2019 and joined Westpoint Daventry that August. She enjoys all aspects of farm animal practice, especially calving, lambing and caesareans.
She is an outdoorsy person and loves long walks and paddle-boarding, as well as playing in goal for her local football team. She is teaching herself to crochet, her favourite project being a toy cow! -
Dr James Barker
Veterinary Surgeon
BVetMed MRCVSJames is originally from Cambridgeshire and qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2018. Since graduation James has worked full time as a farm vet and joined the Cross Counties Farm Vets team in 2021 to be closer to his family. James is interested in infectious disease, with BVD and it’s eradication a particular interest in that field. He also enjoys herd health work, lameness and pigs.
In his personal life, he enjoys finding interesting walks with his dog, taking on DIY projects at home and going rock climbing and bouldering when he can. -
Dr Sky Tetlow
Veterinary Surgeon
BVM BVS MRCVSSky is from the West Midlands and joined us after graduating from the University of Nottingham in 2023. She enjoys all aspects of production animal work, with a particular interest in bovine and ovine fertility, herd health and surgery.At the weekend, Sky enjoys singing in a local choir, or hiking and camping with friends, especially if a pub lunch is involved! -
Lauren Eaton
Veterinary Technician, SQP & ATT
BSc (Hons) SQP-ACFLauren grew up on a sheep and beef farm, has a degree in Applied Animal Studies and is a qualified SQP. She initially joined the BVG team as a small animal receptionist, before joining CCFV as a Vet Tech team in 2020, going on to graduate from the Veterinary Technician Higher apprenticeship at Harper Adams in 2024. She has her own small flock of sheep, as well as two dogs, three cats and a tortoise.

Stephanie Hedges
Farm Support
BSc (Hons) RVNStephanie qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 1992, and spent 30 years working in small animal practice. She also qualified as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist in 2010, and worked freelance helping owners with their dogs and teaching Animal Behaviour at Warwickshire College. She has kept dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs and terrapins, but is currently fancy free so she can travel. -
Daisy-May Allen
TB Administrator
Daisy joined Broughton Veterinary Group as a receptionist in 2018, and later took on more responsibility as Senior Receptionist. Daisy has now joined the CCFV team to take on the role of TB Administrator. She is a huge people person and loves animals, especially cats! She has two cats of her own at home, AJ and Walt, and enjoys going to the theatre, baking and spending time with friends and family.
